Atmosphere at the Boleyn now days
Only negative for me tonight (and in general at moment) is the atmosphere in the ground - fucking awful.

It was getting pretty shit when I stopped going a couple of seasons back but there were always still a few of us that would keep on giving it a go. You can literally here a pin drop now days.

For those that still go to games what's happened? Have the last of the hardcore singers stopped going, or have they just finally given up trying?

I'm hoping I can get to least one final game where I plan on jumping up in my old spot at the back at chicken run end of the BML and smashing the fuck out of the perspex glass to try get a bit we are west hams c&b army for old time sakes...even if I'm the only cunt singing it!

It did sound very quiet on the coverage. Worth remembering though that the sound is mainly decided by a bloke in the TV truck fading mics up and down - not necessarily always a genuine reflection of the noise in the ground.

The bloke in th trunk turned everyone's voice down too, it was like a library tonight. Roll the the massive OS library

Better than it has been for years but still could be a lot better which I'm sure it will as the performances improve.

Have to say I hate the Andy Carroll der der der der 'song' and it was sad to see that Moses seems to have the same moronic dirge (names different of course you pedants).

Stinks of Reading or Charlton

Fucking hell we do love a little whine even after a game most of us enjoyed from start to finish, don't we?

We've had two seasons of absolutely shit, boring football and two home games that got a lot of arses flapping and even some silly 'Bilic out' comments. There's bound to be a little bit of tension in the ground when you've been out-played and beaten by Leicester and fucking Bournemouth.

A couple of more performances like tonight and the place will be rocking again. Calm the fuck down.

It was okay, usual modern day top flight sterile nonsense. Newcastle were very quiet for away support tonight, that didn't help either. Fuck it though, 2-0!!

Sounded alright through my ipad when I was watching at my desk here in LAs Vegas

Decent atmosphere last night. Hard to come by under the Allardyce regime. The atmosphere has changed in premier league football imo. Most games you watch on tv are pretty quiet nowdays.

Re: Atmosphere at the Boleyn now days
I thought it was ok though we did sit in a lot so the game drifted a bit and the crowd was just sitting in too.
Was a real buzz around when Payet got on the ball and at a couple of the moves when he combined with Sahko with some great one touch combinations.
Probably didn't come across on the tv but there was a contented hum from the crowd enjoying West Ham playing FOOTBALL and none of the anxiety you'd get in Allardyce games where we'd be booting the ball away and be under siege.

The atmosphere has been shit for 9 or 10 years now, this nothing new.

You are moaning about the atmosphere yet you didn't even go to the game? - Ag ag ag.

It's like me moaning that the fillet steak at Gaucho's was too tough yet I've never even eaten there.

The atmosphere was pretty good from where i was sitting and yes, i was at the game.

It's shit for a couple of reasons.

The modern all seater stadium and the modern football fan.

Like it for 99% of teams at home games.

Just watched the game on TV. A little subdued, perhaps, but it never seemed too bad.
Oh and the word is 'nowadays' :-)

Agree, it will never be what it was. Probably even quieter in the OS next year. It is modern day football. Probably too many people on their iPhones to sing.

Re: Atmosphere at the Boleyn now days
Decent atmosphere last night and our home support is easily one of the best there is. The only ground I think with 3 standing areas who all sing.

If you go through the league most grounds are worse than ours, Arsenal, Spurs is shit, Chelsea is shit, Liverpool were quiet last week, Everton and City cant get there atmosphere going and anyone who has been to Stoke knows it is overrated and of course there are many other shit ones like Norwich, Southampton etc.

Stop moaning and enjoy the win.

I saw something in the BML that made me sick. This state of a bird was taking selfies for a good 5 minutes in the 2nd half. What made it even worse was the boyfriend played along and posed for the selfie. It was fucking me right off!!

I mean if you want to do a selfie at spitalfields market with your bird that’s fine. But at the fucking football for about 5 minutes while we are charging towards our end.

just fuck off.

Apart from that it was alright yeah
